Diagnostic Assessment
A diagnostic assessment is an initial, thorough 1-hour evaluation that includes an interview with the client. A diagnosis and course of treatment will be proposed and discussed with all parties to come up with a workable plan for the child and family.
Individual Counseling
Continued sessions may be requested or recommended after the initial diagnostic assessment. The anticipated time needed will be discussed before sessions begin. Sessions are scheduled for 1-hour blocks of time.
Family Counseling
Most families struggle from time to time with different life events, such as the teen years, divorce, school issues, cultural differences, etc. Family counseling can be beneficial to open up lines of communication and get to the crux of the issues. Don't let your family suffer when help is available. Sessions are 1 hour.
Crisis Assessment
This assessment is booked only in times of crisis, with the purpose of diffusing a client's crisis response. Health and safety of the client are paramount, and referrals will be made as needed. Sessions are 1 hour.
Note: In a crisis, please contact the practice directly for scheduling a session or referral. If this is a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Student Threat Assessment
Students sometimes say things at school that lead to trouble. Some schools require that the student be assessed by a therapist to determine if the student can safely return to school. Documentation of the completed assessmentto be given back to the school will be provided. Sessions are 1 hour.
